Project One // Our first day we started establishing a network. Everybody started a blog, a del.icio.us account, a Google account, and a YouTube page. As an extension of this network, we made a 10 min. Top Ten Youtube Playlist. The idea was to create a thematic, curated project that would foster a spontaneous event in a public or private space. Below is a link to the playlist and a photo from the event (basement hallway of the art building).

Project 2 // OPEN MEDIA STUDIO SURVEY

For our second project we’ve decided to create a short survey born out of our discussion of perception. Often we found ourselves making assumptions about how our community perceives us as artists/art students, and therefore a false perception of our community arises. In preparation for a more informed event the class will be hosting, our survey in conjunction with a series of strategic interviews, will hopefully help us combat false perceptions, and potentially provide new meanings for our community to foster.
Help by completely a short survey:

Project 3 // Workshops
A series of workshops preparing for the promotion and presentation of an art event that attempts to combat the perception(s) others on campus might have about art students. So far we’ve had a Stenciling Demo, Dumpster Diving Demo, Embroidery Demo, Reusing Plastic Bags Demo, Button Making Demo, and a range of studio days devoted to making everything for our event with as little use of our University facilities as possible.
Project 4 // Event

For our final we hosted an event titled Free Art. The event continued the process of collaboratively producing art that engages a larger community, helping bring the students together in unique and productive ways.
